Make a quick, one-time time payment with no log-in set up required. You will just need your account number and last name or business name on the account.

Automated Phone System

Members can make payments using our automated phone system by calling 1-855-940-3990. You will use your account number or the phone number associated with your account to complete the prompts to complete your payment. For security reasons and to comply with PCI (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), Sumner-Cowley Electric employees cannot take your payment information over the phone.

In Person or by Mail

Our lobby and drive-thru lane are open 7:00 am-5:30 pm Monday-Friday at 2223 North A St Wellington, KS 67152. If you can't make it by during our office hours, we also have a drop box!

You can also mail a check with your bill to PO Box 220 Wellington, KS 67152. Please do not mail cash. 

Budget Billing

Our budget billing program is a billing option that helps stabilize your monthly electric bills. Leveling bill amounts throughout the year can help with budgeting and keeps you from getting caught off guard when higher energy usage leads to a higher bill than expected. How it works is SCEC will use the average of your electrical usage of the last 12 months to determine your monthly bill amount. To be eligible, you must have lived at your current address for at least 12 months and your SCEC account must have a zero balance. To enroll, complete the enrollment form and a member of our member services team will be in contact with you to set up your account. Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps pay for home heating or cooling costs as well as furnace repairs for income-qualified households. Apply directly with the LIHEAP provider for you county or tribe. Services may include payment of energy bills, help with utility disconnections or fuel deliveries, education on efficient and safe use of energy, advocacy with energy suppliers and human service providers, and repair or replacement of homeowners' broken heating systems.
